We regularly work and collaborate with arts organisations, local groups, schools and charities.

Sew And Grow – A collaboration between Sew Fabulous and RISE’s BME women’s group

 For the last five years we have collaborated with RISE to hold a weekly sewing group for local women to learn to sew in a safe and supportive environment.
This project will continue to run for the foreseeable future.

Re-skill / Re-use / Re-fashion 

Sew Fabulous produced a two day sustainable fashion symposium for hundreds of local people held in the main plaza of Brighton Open Market.
– Workshops
– The Party Clothes Exchange
– Circular and sustainable fashion groups
The event was funded by Brighton and Hove City Council and was free to attend.

Holiday Clubs for kids and teens  

Sew Fabulous ran holiday clubs for kids and teens from low income families during 2020 and 2021 we aim 
to run more of these in future.
– Small class sizes of six students
– Two groups per day
– Students made their own sewing kit and bucket hat
– Communal delicious and nutritious lunches in the Open Market

Beginners courses at The Whitehawk Inn. East Brighton. September 2018

With thanks to our funders Sussex Community Foundation and East Brighton Trust

The courses lasted for six consecutive weeks and were aimed at beginners. Class sizes were small and very supportive. Participants Learnt useful and fun skills at their own pace and made new friends. Sewing people are always very friendly!

WRAP Love Your Clothes campaign

We are proud to be Supercrafters for Love Your Clothes. We create film and video content for their website and run large scale outreach events with them.

We are available/able to create quality tutorials, magazine articles, video and photographic content and written teaching aids.
