We are frequently joined by great guest tutors – keep an eye on this page
Each month we welcome a different guest tutor to run a specialist textile, needlework or sewing based workshop.
From crochet to machine embroidery from lampshade making to headdress building we work really hard to bring you as wide a variety of creative and exciting workshops as we can.
Make your own Christmas Jumper workshop
Saturday 8th December – £15
Bring along an old jumper and turn it into your very own totally unique Christmas jumper.
Wear your jumper for Save the Children’s National Christmas Jumper day 14th December 2018.
£2 per workshop place booked goes directly to Save The Children.
We have a range of seasonal designs and ideas available to choose from, or you can design your own.
Using fabrics, trims, buttons, pompoms, sequins, sparkles, fairy lights to make your jumper we’ll show you how to!

Kids half term weaving workshop
Tuesday 19th February – £15
Kids half term weaving workshop. Make your own wall hanging.
Using an array of different materials each child will create their own piece of weaving on a wooden loom.
The process is great fun and fairly easy for small hands to master and enjoy.
Age ranges: Age 8+

Make your own teddy clothes workshop
Thursday 21st February – £15
Make your own teddy clothes workshop.
Come and design and make your favourite teddy or stuffed toy a new outfit during February half term.
During this workshop you will be able to choose from a huge selection of fabrics and trimmings and make an piece of teddy or stuffed toy clothing.
You will use sewing machines, and hand sewing techniques.
When we’re finished we will have a teddy bears fashion shoot.
Kids workshop ( 10am-12pm ): Age 8+
Make your own Eco and plastic free alternatives
Saturday 16th March – £30
Join us for an eco sewing workshop.
Learn how to make a range of reusable everyday items including:
Washable make up remover face pads
Beeswax wraps for the kitchen
Small fruit and vegetable bags and reusable shopping bags
Using up-cycled fabrics, sustainably sourced cotton and bamboo fabric.

Fantastical Headdress Workshop
Saturday 15th June 2019 – £30
Come and create your very own totally unique head piece with local artist Fumbalinas.
Perfect for parties, festivals, weddings and day to day gorgeousness.
During this workshop you will design and make a piece of wearable art.
Bring along any interesting items you would like to incorporate. Small toys, flowers and foliage, LED lights, sparkles and sequins, plastic fruit and veg, and interesting items.
Adults and teens.
