Each month we welcome a different guest tutor to run a specialist textile, needlework or sewing based workshop.
From crochet to machine embroidery from lampshade making to headdress building we work really hard to bring you as wide a variety of creative and exciting workshops as we can.

About the workshop:
Join us for our next monthly eco friendly up-cycling workshops.
Bring along all those items of clothing you have in your wardrobe that need some attention.
Or use our projects and ideas to refashion something completely different.
We will be celebrating Fashion Revolution Week and creating a collage of photographs with the iconic “I made my clothes” poster.
Workshop possibilities include: Turn one item of clothing into another, mend or patch holes, sew up a seam, replace a zip, shorten a skirt or dress, customise and accessorise, use applique, tassles etc.
Fumbalinas fantastical festival headdress Workshop

Come and create your very own totally unique festival head piece with local artist Fumbalinas.

Perfect for parties, festivals, weddings and day to day outrageousness.
During this workshop you will design and make a piece of wearable art.
Bring along any interesting items you would like to incorporate. Small toys, flowers and foliage, led lights, sparkles and sequins, plastic fruit and veg

Cocoon and me Macramé workshop

This workshop is designed for beginners, learn how to make your very own handmade macrame plant hanger
Paula from Cocoon&me will step by step show you a few basic knots & techniques that you can then use to design your very own Plant hanger. This ancient craft is really popular again & is perfectly timed to work with the renaissance for plants in the home. You can choose to make your hanger from cotton braid or for a upgrade to either a recycled cotton cord in 5 stylish colours or a Jute yarn in 4 natural tones. You will then be able to take home your bespoke macrame plant hanger with its own recycled catering tin perfect for you to hen buy the plant of your choice. A macrame plant hanger will make a perfect gift or simply a beautiful & contemporary addition to your home made by you.
All participants will be entitled to a 10% discount at the market plant shop on the day.
