Bring your own project to work on or use one of our beginners/improvers projects - choose from a cushion, bag, or simple garment. Ideal to refresh your skills or improve techniques such as zips, pockets and beyond.

These sessions will provide you with a thorough introduction to the general principles and skills of clothes making and sewing, using a purchased commercial pattern.
You will learn:
To select the correct size pattern in relation to your own body measurements
To make simple pattern adjustments using basic methods
To select suitable fabrics
To understand and follow pattern terminology and instructions sheets
To use a sewing machine safely and correctly
To construct a garment to a good standard and finish
